MISSIONS

At Walkersville EPC, our mission is to share the love of Christ and spiritual growth within our community. We engage in outreach initiatives that serve those in need, promote fellowship, and spread the Gospel message through various programs and events. Our commitment is to be a beacon of hope, encouraging individuals to deepen their faith while actively participating in service to others. Join us as we strive to make a meaningful impact both locally and beyond. Listed are the organization we help support.  

Chicken & Dumplings

Twice a year these meals are at the heart of many of the missions that are supported through Walkersville EPC in Union County and around the world. The money this is raised goes towards our various mission partners.

Help Pregnancy

"Before I formed you in the womb I knew you. Before you were born I set you apart." Jeremiah 1:5

HELP Pregnancy Center is a 501c3 non-profit agency providing free and confidential services for women and men who are experiencing an unplanned pregnancy. Our caring peer counselors and staff provide pregnancy, parenting, adoption and abortion education.

Ground 40 

Ground 40 exists to provide practical and spiritual guidance to those transitioning back into the community.

-Founded on Psalms 40, we believe God is able and ready to help us in times of trouble, we only need to call upon His name.

House of Pearls

House of Pearls is a long-term addiction and heart restoration program where women voluntarily reside at no cost to them and learn the healing power of the Word of God through intensive bible study and teaching. 

-Mission: To provide a safe environment for women to heal, restore, & rebuild their lives, embracing & representing the love of Jesus Christ. 

Prospect Food Ministry

“The Shack is a community Food Ministry located and run by Prospect Methodist Church.  They have been serving the community with this ministry for over 15 years. 

6020 Prospect Rd, Monroe, NC 28112; Open: 1st and 3rd Saturday of every month from 9 to 11 am.

-Mission Statement: To be led by God and show love to their neighbors.  As the food is given to people the volunteers hope to encourage the recipients and give them an opportunity to help themselves.

EPC World Outreach

World Outreach is the international mission's arm of the EPC, with the principle calling to glorify God by starting disciple-making movements among least-reached groups. 

Operation Christmas Child

Samaritan's Purse sends gift-filled Operation Christmas Child shoeboxes to children in need around the world together with the message of the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

-We collect items all year and our youth packs shoeboxes. 

Operation Reach-Out, Monroe, NC

-The ministry is focused on honoring God by meeting people where they are in life's circumstances.

-Members of the church provide lunch on the second Wednesday of the month. This includes preparing the food along with serving and interacting with the people being served. 

Faith-Works Benevolence

 A Ministry of care for the Union County community.  

Turning Point

Turning Point is the only organization in Union County that provides emergency and lifesaving resources for survivors of domestic violence, sexual assault, and child abuse.  We offer a wide range of services at no charge to the client.  Turning Point believes that everyone who experiences abuse deserves a safe place to heal and receive the resources they need to seek independence and justice.

Toys For Tots

The basic mission of the Marine Toys for Tots Program is to collect new unwrapped toys and distribute those toys to economically disadvantaged children at Christmas.

-The primary goal of Marine Toys for Tots is, through the gift of a new toy, help bring the joy of Christmas and send a message of hope to America’s economically disadvantaged children.
